ABOUT THIS PROJECT

Dr. Roland Roth was a beloved UD faculty member in Entomology and Wildlife Ecology. During his 35-year tenure, he advised, taught and mentored hundreds of students under the stalwart canopy of UD's Roland Roth Ecology Woods. Many of those students have become educators themselves, extending Dr. Roth’s legacy to future generations. This project will continue that work by raising funds to ensure ongoing support of the Woods, including student research projects and internship opportunities within this campus resource.

THE IMPACT OF YOUR SUPPORT

Your gift to the Dr. Roland Roth Ecology Woods Fund ensures increased undergraduate research experiences like those Roland fostered for so many students. Alumni across the eras have shared stories of impact and life-changing moments spent in the Roth Woods, as they found their career paths and solidified their commitment to conservation. Gifts to this fund will be an investment in the future of our environmentally-minded students.

The Dr. Roland Roth Ecology Woods Fund is an endowed fund designed to last in perpetuity. All contributions made to this fund are restricted for use according to the agreement of the endowment.
